The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricik, had a meeting with the French Ambassador to the country, HE Cyrille Baumgartner.

- France's goal is a stable and prosperous Western Balkans, and the commitment to speed up the negotiation process remains a top priority, as we confirmed at today's meeting with the French Ambassador to the country, HE Cyrille Baumgartner.

Ambassador Baumgartner stressed that it is important that the country and the EU act harmoniously and together regarding the Ukraine crisis. Only in this way can we defend our common values, freedom, and justice.

- We expect the Union to take a bold step during the French presidency and North Macedonia and Albania to receive the long-awaited date for negotiations with the Union. France remains our strong partner and an ally on the European path of North Macedonia.
