The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricik, held a coordination meeting today with James Stein, the representative of the USAID Office in the country, Enid Nunez, program director, and Christopher Zimmer, head of the Political-Economic Office at the US Embassy in the country, at which they reviewed the priority projects that can be implemented with financial resources and investments from the United States of America, as well as the opportunities for expanding the development cooperation that has been successfully implemented for more than two decades in cooperation with USAID.
James Stein confirmed the successful cooperation so far in the implementation of the projects and together with the National IPA Coordinator and Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Maricik emphasized that they consider the Strategic Dialogue an important step towards raising the overall development cooperation of North Macedonia with the USA to a higher level, which surely will affect the scope of the projects, but also the areas in which the aid will be implemented in the coming period, which will definitely contribute to the further development of the traditionally good relations between the United States and North Macedonia.
- It is especially important in the future to coordinate all available financial development resources in a clear and effective way, from EU funds to bilateral development programs, in order to implement the important and priority projects in the best and fastest way, in the interest of progress and uplifting of the quality of life of all the citizens of North Macedonia, assessed Deputy Prime Minister Maricik.
Deputy Prime Minister Maricik also took the opportunity to congratulate the USAID delegation led by Stein on the Independence Day of the USA, July 4, which was recently celebrated at the residence of the Embassy of the United States of America in the country.
