The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Maricik, started the second day of his working visit to Paris with a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs, EU Integration and Regional Cooperation of Montenegro, Jovana Marović, where they discussed several topics of common interest, with a focus on the countries' progress in the reforms and the European integration process.
- North Macedonia and Montenegro act European with the same goal - full membership in the EU. Montenegro is our important regional partner on the path to European integration, said Deputy Prime Minister Maricik.
At the meeting, Maricik and Marović discussed the European agenda and the regional co-operation, confirming that the two countries are committed to transforming society, built on European values and standards, and that they are firmly on the right path. Marović stressed that the future of the two countries is commonly shared, a full-fledged membership in the European Union.
At the meeting, Maricik confirmed the excellent bilateral relations we have with Montenegro, which are constantly evolving and improving, and announced that the cooperation in the field of European integration will be intensified in the next period.
- The exchange of experiences and good practices of Montenegro in the negotiation process will be of a great benefit, Maricik added.
On the second day of his working visit to France, Deputy Prime Minister Maricik will have a meeting with Isabel Dumont, President Macron's political advisor for the Balkans.
