At today's coordination meeting with the Sectoral Working Group on Competitiveness and Innovation for IPA Programming, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bojan Marichic, together with Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs Fatmir Bitichi, asked for maximum commitment from all stakeholders in rationally directing donor support to the implementation of the national priorities, including the EU integration process as a whole, and for mandatory participation of civil society organizations in the meetings of the Sectoral Working Groups, as ones with solid knowledge of the needs of the citizens and the challenges they face.
Marichic added that support for the development of the private sector is also one of the guiding points in the Economic and Investment Plan and that this is the message to be conveyed to the business community, encouraging them to apply for such funds.
“It is of great importance for our companies to be able to participate in the program and apply for funds that will serve in the preparation for and adaptation to the large, internal European market, which will in parallel increase the level of competitiveness”, said Marichic said.
