Deputy Prime Minister Marichic Meets with the Sectoral Healthcare Working Group

Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Bojan Marichic, met today with the Sectoral Healthcare Working Group and the Minister of Health, Bekim Sali.

The meeting participants discussed the future priorities of the Ministry of Health and the best ways of using the available funds, as well as the bilateral cooperation aimed at building a sustainable health system primarily focusing on the health of citizens.

“It is important to ensure efficiency and high quality in planning the projects supported by the European Union, primarily those contributing to the improvement of the health system and better health services for the citizens, but also those supporting the European integration process-related reforms”, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Marichic said.

At the meeting, he reiterated his commitment to the maximum usage of the EU programs and funds and to programming based on the priorities and needs of the healthcare system, to ensure higher benefits for the citizens.
