Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bojan Marichic held an IPA funds-focused coordination meeting today with Fatmir Bitichi, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs, Coordination of Economic Affairs and Investments, to discuss current activities of the Intervention Investment Plan and the next steps and priorities arising from the first phase of the 2021 – 2041 National Development Strategy.
Deputy Prime Ministers Marichic and Bitichi pointed out that - irrespective of the crisis happening all over the world - we are not giving up on what is a priority for the Government, and that is the implementation of the reform agenda, the regional development and the creation of conditions for new investments, all aimed at making progress in the European integration process and achieving the European standards and values at home, for our citizens.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Ministers agreed on the following activities related to projects under the European and Investment Plan as ones having priority when it comes to funding through the Western Balkans Investment Framework, focusing on the green agenda of the Republic of North Macedonia, especially through investments in renewable energy and waste management.
