Deputy Prime
Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani today had meeting with the
Ambassador of the Republic of France,
Christian Thimonier.
The main topic of the
meeting between Osmani and Thimonier was Osmani's upcoming visit to Paris,
where the Deputy Prime Minister will have meeting with the Minister for
European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of France,
Natalie Loiseau, then with Emanuel
Lenan, Advisor to the Prime Minister Phillip's Office and Sabine Thillaye,
President of the Committee on European Affairs at the National Assembly. Osmani
said that at the meetings he will discuss the process of European integration
of the country, the implementation of Plan 3-6-9, as well as the removal of the
political obstacles that stood on the Republic of Macedonia's path to European
and Euro-Atlantic integration. Osmani told Thimonier that in Paris he will
strive for concrete steps by France and the other member states of the Union in
Paris, which will be aimed at the visibility of the European perspectives of
the Republic of Macedonia.
Deputy Prime Minister
Osmani and Ambassador Thimonier also opened the current topics, especially
regarding the conduct of the local elections. The interlocutors assessed that
the elections went well, which was confirmed by the OSCE/ODIHR observation
mission and other relevant election observers, who came out with conclusion
that the elections were fair, credible and reliable, both in the part of
organising the election day, as well as the pre-election period, in which the
parties and candidates had the opportunity to freely promote their programs,
policies and qualities.
