Today at the premises of the Secretariat for European Affairs was held the second coordination donor meeting related to the devastating floods that occurred on 06.08.2016. Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Arbr Ademi PhD, chaired the meeting, and Peter Glerum, team leader of the experts who arrived in the Republic Macedonia from the European Civil Protection Mechanism, Ms. Louisa Vinton, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative also had their address at the meeting.

Deputy Prime Minister Ademi stressed that the aim of this meeting is to have more precise overview of the overall donor support which has been provided so far by the bilateral partners, and which was initially discussed on last week"s meeting. Mr. Glerum informed on the role and support which is provided by the Civil Protection Mechanism, coordination of the aid which is already received, as well as the aid which is to come, and he presented the advice on the needs list as well, the geohydrology and sewage issues, as well as the response and recovery.

Deputy Prime Minister Ademi thanked all donors for the aid they provided and encouraged them to register the aid they provide, in order to have a more precise overview of the donated aid.
