Today, the Secretariat for European Affairs organized a plenary meeting of the Sector Working Group on Environment and Climate Action as part of the first cycle of meetings to strengthen the sectoral approach established by IPA 2 and will continue to be implemented under IPA 3.

The purpose of the meetings was to present the strategic priorities of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in order to inform the members of the sectorial working groups and improve the coordination of national resources, resources from bilateral donors, and the EU Delegation and support in their implementation.

The priorities in the sector of environment and climate change include a wide range of priority projects arising from the reform agenda in the environment, conditioned by the new legal solutions at the EU level but also by the global interventions from the European Green Agenda. The conclusion of this meeting was to continue with meetings and dialogue at the technical level to define more specific future projects.
